Three podiums, six finalists and the top spot in the women’s overall ranking confirm the international strength of the SCARPA competition team.
Asolo, 4 June 2026 – From May 28 to 31, Alcobendas (Spain) hosted another round of the 2026 IFSC Boulder World Cup, bringing together some of the world’s top climbers on the international circuit.
SCARPA athletes delivered outstanding performances in both the men’s and women’s competitions, with six qualifying for the finals and three securing podium finishes overall.
Among the highlights of the weekend were the victory of British climber Erin McNeice in the women’s competition, as well as the bronze medals won by Oriane Bertone and Samuel Richard. Thanks to her consistency across the opening rounds of the season, Bertone now leads the overall IFSC Boulder World Cup 2026 ranking.
The results achieved by athletes from Great Britain, France, Australia, Italy and Spain confirm SCARPA’s strong global presence within the contemporary comp climbing scene.
Britain’s Erin McNeice claimed victory in Alcobendas after topping all four boulders in the final, the only athlete to do so.
The result marks her second Boulder World Cup victory and her second consecutive podium of the 2026 season, confirming her status as one of the strongest athletes on the international circuit.
French climber Oriane Bertone secured her first podium of the season with a third-place finish. Thanks to her results across the opening events of the year, Bertone now leads the overall IFSC Boulder World Cup ranking, reinforcing her reputation as one of the most solid and consistent athletes on the international scene.
Fresh from her victory one week earlier in Bern, Australia’s Oceania Mackenzie reached another World Cup final, finishing fifth.
The result underlines her strong start to the season and keeps Mackenzie among the leading athletes in the overall standings.
Italy’s Camilla Moroni reached her first Boulder World Cup final of the 2026 season, adding another international finals appearance to her record and demonstrating continued consistency at the highest level.
France’s Samuel Richard secured the bronze medal in a highly competitive men’s final, delivering another impressive performance on the international stage and earning SCARPA its third podium finish of the weekend.
Competing in front of a home crowd, Spain’s Guillermo Peinado Franganillo reached the final and finished sixth.
His performance made him one of the standout Spanish athletes of the event and confirmed his growing potential on the international circuit.
