SCARPA 4-QUATTRO PRO: A fresh look for the freeride boot and the debut of a Limited Edition developed alongside Nikolai Schirmer
For Fall/Winter 2026–27, the 4-QUATTRO PRO arrives in a new Pearl Blue/Silver colorway with a Booster® Active Power Strap. Joining it is the 4-QUATTRO PRO LE, featuring the new patented SCARPA Vario Strap.
Asolo, 4th November 2026 – SCARPA refreshes its freeride lineup for the Fall/Winter 2026–27 season with a new-look 4-QUATTRO PRO and the introduction of the 4-QUATTRO PRO LE, a Limited Edition developed in collaboration with Nikolai Schirmer, the Norwegian freeride skier and filmmaker known for his steep descents on technically demanding terrain.
Designed for experienced skiers who clock up vertical metres on the ascent and demand precision on the most challenging lines, both boots combine low weight, freedom of movement and downhill support, whether skiing lift-accessed terrain or earning the descent with skins.
The Pebax® Rnew® construction with Carbon Core technology delivers direct power transmission from foot to ski, and the Secure Speedlock 4 mechanism allows quick transitions between walk and ski modes. While sharing the same technical foundation, the two models feature different cuff closure systems: the Booster® Active Power Strap on the PRO and the SCARPA Vario Strap on the PRO LE.
The Pebax® Rnew® shell and cuff provide an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, keeping the boots lightweight on the ascent and responsive on the descent. Carbon Core technology enhances structural stiffness, improving precision and control even on the most technically challenging lines.
The reinforced overlap cuff of the PRO, with its increased height and thickness, provides the torsional stiffness needed to drive wide skis through demanding terrain. Both models feature a 130+ flex rating and an adjustable 19° forward lean, offering support for an aggressive skiing stance.
The Secure Speedlock 4 ski/walk mechanism features a dual-locking system that securely holds the cuff in ski mode during descents. Releasing the mechanism allows the cuff to move freely for uphill travel and walking sections.
The 4-QUATTRO PRO combines a four-buckle closure system with the Booster® Active Power Strap for additional cuff support and efficient power transmission while skiing.
The 4-QUATTRO PRO LE, meanwhile, introduces the new patented SCARPA Vario Strap, designed to adapt dynamically to the skier's movements, improving power transmission, responsiveness and comfort even in the most demanding conditions.
Developed in collaboration with Norwegian freeride skier and filmmaker Nikolai Schirmer, the Limited Edition embodies the pursuit of the perfect line through its distinctive technical features and unmistakable design. The Silver Gray colorway is paired with a black cuff and red accents on the buckles and strap. The message “Unique as your line” captures its identity, rooted in freeride skiing and the ability to tackle the most challenging terrain.
The fully heat-moldable Intuition® 4Pro Flex Ride liner allows skiers to customize the fit to their feet. Combined with a 100 mm last, it delivers precision and comfort throughout long days on the snow.
The PRESA® SKI-01 / GripWalk Tour outsole, compliant with ISO 23223, provides traction on approaches and walking sections. Compatibility with Alpine GripWalk, Alpine Touring and TLT bindings further enhances the boots' versatility across the different stages of a freeride outing.
Weighing 1,550 g for the PRO and 1,540 g for the PRO LE (per boot, size 27), both models combine low weight with the support needed for downhill performance. Two configurations that share the same purpose: helping freeriders discover their own unique lines.
