The new backcountry ski boot combines Overlap Flow construction with the BOA® H+1 System to deliver uphill efficiency and reliable downhill performance.
Asolo, October 7, 2026 – SCARPA introduces F1 RS, the new Alpine Touring boot designed for backcountry skiers seeking high performance without compromise. Ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers, mountain guides and mountain professionals, F1 RS combines strength and durability in a lightweight package that’s engineered to provide freedom of movement and efficiency on the ascent, along with direct power transfer on the descent.
The new Overlap Flow Construction makes stepping in and out of the boot effortless while allowing unrestricted freedom of movement on the ascent. On the descent, the BOA® H+1 System ensures precise, secure shell closure, with multidirectional micro-adjustments for quick fit control.
The new Overlap Flow Construction has been developed by SCARPA to make stepping in and out of the boot effortless while maintaining a full range of motion during uphill travel and walking. The solution is targeted at long touring approaches, where mobility and efficiency are key.
The Grilamid® Fiber Glass LFT® shell delivers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, translating into direct power transfer and confident edge control on technical terrain. The cuff and tongue are made from Pebax® Rnew®, a bio-based, high-rebound material that keeps the boot lightweight and responsive without sacrificing structural integrity.
On the descent, F1 RS features the BOA® H+1 System, with a micro-adjustable dial engineered for effective closure even on rigid shells. The system allows the fit to be tightened or loosened easily and precisely, delivering a consistent and secure hold.
The BOA® Fit System works together with the buckle and Booster® Power Strap to provide a precise fit and support effective power transfer on the descent.
Completing the construction, the Intuition® FS Tour liner is paired with a 101 mm last, while the FS Lever enables a smooth transition between walk and ski modes. The Vibram® FS outsole provides reliable grip for walking and approaches.
F1 RS is designed for those who spend long days in the mountains and need a boot that combines mobility and uphill efficiency with support, precision and control on the descent. Weighing 1,340 g (½ pair, size 27) for the men's version and 1,210 g (½ pair, size 25) for the women's version, its construction keeps weight to a minimum without sacrificing the strength required on technical terrain.
Available in men's and women's versions, F1 RS has a flex of 115 for men and 100 for women, with a forward lean of 15° ± 2°. Compatibility with AT and TLT bindings completes a design engineered to perform efficiently throughout every stage of a day in the backcountry.
